OUR STORY
The beautiful story of First Baptist Church is in the unique make-up of the individuals
who call First their home. Although vastly different in our journeys,
there are three cords that bind each of us together.
We Are…
We are real people infused with dynamic faith, committed to a common vision, joined together in the covenant love of our Creator.
We Used to Be…
We used to be completely broken but are now grateful for undeserved redemption, astonished by God's amazing grace, healed by His forgiveness and humbled by the divine invitation to be included in the greatest cause on earth.
We Serve…
We serve a good and perfect God, and extend grace, compassion and love to all who enter our doors.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that none may add or take away from it.
(II Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:11, 105)

The Trinity:
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
and these three are one God.
(Matthew 28:18-20)

The Church:
We believe that the Church consists of all persons who have been regenerated by the
Holy Spirit and made new people in Christ Jesus.
(Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4)

The Savior:
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that through the
death and risen power of Christ, all who believe and confess Jesus as Lord can be saved
from the penalty and power of sin.

The Healer:
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Healer, and that healing is provided for in the atonement.

The Coming King:
We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ to receive to Himself all born again believers.
